Our 40th celebrations continued at the 17th FEDOPTO International Optometry Congress in Bogotá, Colombia last month (8-10 August). Members were invited to ‘Make Your Mark’ at the IACLE exhibition booth. At the congress, former Vice President Professor Desmond Fonn recalled the early days of IACLE and its activities in Latin America.

2019 FIACLE Directory now online The latest directory listing Fellows of IACLE is available on our new website. Administrators will be contacting members who are due to renew their FIACLE status. FIACLEs must renew their status every 3 years and meet the terms and conditions of the program. IACLE’s celebrations of 40 years of ‘Exceptional Education. Exponential Impact’ continued at the Asia Pacific Optometric Congress in Manila, Philippines (17-20 June). The IACLE Executive Board, staff, Fellows and members were involved throughout the program, as they delivered workshops, lectures and posters. The IACLE exhibition booth was busy with delegates marking the time wall of milestones in the association’s history. Three IACLE Travel Award winners travelled to Manila to take part.

IACLE at BCLA 2019

IACLE celebrated 40 years of ‘Exceptional Education. Exponential Impact’ at the British Contact Lens Association Clinical Conference in Manchester, UK (30 May – 2 June). More than 100 delegates took up the invitation to ‘Make Your Mark’ at the IACLE exhibition booth on a time wall of milestones in the association’s history. President Dr Shehzad Naroo and Vice President Professor Philip Morgan hosted a 40th Anniversary celebration for 70 members and guests.

IACLE completes New ICLC with dry eye lecture

The final lecture in the New IACLE Contact Lens Course, Dry Eye & Contact Lenses (D4), is now available online exclusively to IACLE members. The lecture has been fully revised and updated by Professor James Wolffsohn of Aston University, UK and reflects the findings of the TFOS DEWS II Report.
