RESOURCES

NEW Love Your Lenses tools on wearer safety

Tools to help eye care practitioners communicate safety messages more effectively to contact lens wearers are among the resources for this year’s Love Your Lenses Week (23-30 March). Now in its third year, the awareness week is run by the UK regulator the General Optical Council (GOC) in collaboration with industry partners and patient groups. A visual aid, pre-appointment questionnaire and lifestyle-based questions are the result of a GOC pilot project called Land The Message, which explored how contact lens practitioners could use behavioural science to increase the effectiveness of aftercare advice.
