IACLE welcomes new line-up of Executive Board
Elected officers of the International Association of Contact Lens Educators’ Executive Board will take on new responsibilities following the biennial election held last month.
Professor Philip Morgan, of the University of Manchester, UK takes the role of IACLE Vice-President after two years as Assistant Secretary. Dr Luigina Sorbara, Associate Professorat the University of Waterloo, Canada becomes the Assistant Secretary after two years as Vice-President.
President Dr Shehzad Naroo commented: ‘On behalf of IACLE, I would like to thank Gina for her commitment to the role of Vice President over the past two years. Gina has had various roles on the Executive Board in the past, including Treasurer.
I am glad to report that she will remain involved in the future. I would also like to welcome back Phil to his previous position, and look forward to working with all our board members to fulfil IACLE’s mission.’
Americas Regional President Dr Sergio Garcia of the Universidad Santo Tomás, Colombia was re-elected to the board. We look forward to candidate Professor Sabrina Lara of the National University of Villa María, Argentina continuing to be closely involved with IACLE at the regional level.
