The TLC (Teach. Learn. Connect.) Initiative is IACLE’s new online education and communications program that will supplement our existing educational activities. Our aim is to support our members, students and industry as recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

Register now for our half-day conference

On Saturday 26 September, IACLE is hosting a virtual conference to bring the focus ‘Back to contact lenses’. An industry panel will reflect on the impact of the COVID-19 situation since the start of the pandemic, how consumers have been affected and give their input on how the rest of 2020 may play out.

The virtual conference will take place from 12 noon BST (GMT+1) via Zoom for members.

What can IACLETOP offer you?

IACLETOP is an online Leaning Management System and will soon become IACLE’s central location to access online resources and teaching materials. Webinars delivered during 2020 are available on IACLETOP in seven different languages. The extensive content supports contact lens educators in teaching their students. 


NEW this month

The IACLE Contact Lens Course (ICLC2020) is now available to access via IACLETOP, as well as via our website under Member Login. The six modules are delivered in an online format or as downloadable files.


Coming up…

From this month, the previous version of the course – ICLC2015 – will be available on IACLETOP in six different languages. The highly popular IACLE Case Report Series is currently being restructured and reviewed, and will be accessible in a more interactive way. 

Are you thinking of completing the IACLE Fellowship? The next Fellowship Exam is scheduled to take place in 2021 and IACLETOP will provide help with preparation. Look out for more information to come.

IACLE webinars in Korean

Korea National Coordinator Kyounghee Park is hosting a webinar on ‘How to use IACLE’s Online Student Trial Exam (STE) via IACLETOP’ on Friday 4 September at 11 am South Korea (GMT+9).  FIACLE Jeongmee Kim from Far East University will conduct a webinar on ‘Myopia management with orthokeratology lenses’ on Tuesday 22 September at 11 am South Korea (GMT+9).  For more information contact Korea National Coordinator Kyounghee Park.

IACLE webinar in Bahasa

On Sunday 20 September at 11:00 am Jakarta (GMT+7)Mohammad Husein is hosting a webinar on the topic of ‘Writing multiple-choice questions – education department guidelines’. Members and students can take part live via Zoom. A recorded version will be available on IACLETOP. Bahasa-speaking members will be contacted with login details.

COMMUNICATIONS

Due to the current rapidly changing situation, IACLE is adding new online resources and events each month. Following a review of our communications, our Global Member Newsletter will now be available in Spanish, Korean and Simplified Chinese (if required), in addition to English.
